Elmbridge Policing Your Community Event

Good morning!

Forget the new TV series of 'Line of Duty' – there’s still time to sign up and meet the real police working in your area at Elmbridge’s ‘Policing Your Community’ event on Thursday next week (May 9th).

This is a chance to find out what your local policing team have been doing and raise any concerns to your Borough Commander Inspector Dallas McDermott.

You will also meet our newly appointed Chief Constable Gavin Stephens and Surrey's Police and Crime Commissioner David Munro who will update on the current challenges facing policing plus what lies ahead for the service in Surrey - including plans for 100 extra officers, operational staff and Police Community Support Officers to come from additional council tax funding.

So far we have held events in seven of Surrey’s eleven boroughs and districts and next week we are in both Elmbridge and Guildford. Discussion topics so far have included everything from online fraud, county lines drug dealing, anti-social behaviour, rural crime and unauthorised encampments.

Don’t miss out on a chance to have your say on all these important issues and more, sign up now to register your place and come along to meet us at the Xcel Leisure Complex in Walton-on-Thames at 7pm on Thursday 9th May.

If you have already signed up we look forward to seeing you there!
